Diesel as the Next Alternative Fuel

I know it
seems strange to consider diesel as an alternative fuel. However,
diesel is close to several other types of fuels that are easily
burned in a diesel engine.
Vegetable oils, coal oils, and other types of fuels are easily
burned in today's diesel engines. Modifications are minor, and in
some engines aren't required at all.

Driving a car fueled by something other than gasoline or diesel fuel is no longer the stuff of science fiction. In addition to conventional gasoline and diesel fuel, reformulated - cleaner - gasoline and alternative fuels now are sold in many parts of the country.
